How to Watch VR Porn on PSVR (PS4 and PS4 Pro)

Everything you need to play VR porn on the original PlayStation VR, on a standard PS4 or a PS4 Pro. The console does not have a VR browser that plays video, so playback always goes through an app: Rad TV for local files and studio feeds, or WatchVR for streaming a studio catalogue directly.

What the PSVR1 hardware can and cannot do

The PlayStation VR headset is a 5.7 inch OLED panel with 1920 by 1080 pixels in total, 960 by 1080 per eye, RGB subpixel layout, 100 degrees of field of view and 90 or 120 Hz refresh. That per-eye resolution is the ceiling for everything below: a "6K" video file buys you nothing, because the panel cannot show it. Studios know this, which is why every studio listed on this site ships a separate, smaller PlayStation encode - typically 180 degree side-by-side, H.264, sized for the PS4's hardware decoder.

The PS4's video decoder is the second ceiling. It plays H.264 comfortably up to roughly 4K class at 60 fps; modern H.265/HEVC 8K files will stutter or refuse to play entirely. Never feed it the 8K master you downloaded for a Quest. Use the studio's PS4 or PSVR download option, which exists for exactly this reason.

Route 1: Rad TV with a USB stick (local files)

Rad TV (formerly Littlstar VR Cinema) is the classic local player for PSVR. The workflow that every PSVR-supporting studio documents:

  1. Format the USB stick as FAT32 or exFAT. The PS4 cannot read NTFS. Use exFAT if your scene files are larger than 4 GB, which FAT32 cannot store.
  2. Create a folder named LITTLSTAR in the root of the stick. The name is case-insensitive.
  3. Download the PSVR version of your scene from the studio. On the download panel of studios like BaDoinkVR, 18VR, VRCosplayX or SexBabesVR this is the tile labelled "PS4", "PS4 Pro" or "PlayStation VR".
  4. Name the file with the correct projection suffix. The app reads the suffix, not the content. The convention the studios document: _180_sbs for 180 degree side-by-side, _360_sbs for 360 side-by-side, _180_tb or _180_ou for top/bottom 180. Do not put any of those markers in the middle of the file name; only the suffix counts.
  5. Plug the stick into the PS4, put on the headset, open the app and find your files in the library. If the app asks for an update, take it.

Wrong projection shows up immediately: a double image means side-by-side file played as top/bottom (or the suffix is missing), a squeezed barrel image means the fisheye flag is wrong, silence usually means the audio track is not stereo. The fix is always the same: correct the suffix or pick the player's matching projection setting.

Route 2: WatchVR (streaming, no download)

WatchVR is a free, official PS Store app by VR LIFE S.L., the company behind VirtualRealPorn. It streams 180 and 360 video directly inside the headset: you copy your personal channel URL from your studio account (VirtualRealPorn documents this in its PSVR help page), add it in WatchVR, and the studio's catalogue appears in the headset. No PC, no USB stick, no file management. The PS Store product page has been live since 2020 and still works for PSVR on PS4.

WatchVR streams; it does not play your local files. For downloads you still want Route 1.

Route 3: Rad TV feeds on PS5 (PSVR1 works there too)

The Rad app exists for both PlayStation generations. On PS5 with PSVR2 it is the main native video app (see the PSVR2 guide); on PS4 with PSVR1 it plays the same Littlstar USB workflow as the old app. CzechVR additionally publishes per-scene RSS feed links ("rad. feed") that you add once in the app and that stream the whole catalogue - the only true PSVR streaming setup with automatic updates.

Settings that matter on PSVR1

Troubleshooting

Double image
Projection mismatch. Rename with the correct suffix (_180_sbs or _360_sbs) or switch the projection in the player.
Fisheye distortion
The player is treating a fisheye file as equirectangular. Use the studio's PSVR file, which is pre-converted, instead of a raw fisheye master.
No sound
The file has a 5.1 or unusual audio track. The PSVR players expect stereo. Studio PSVR encodes are always stereo-safe; your own transcodes may not be.
Stuttering
Too high resolution or bitrate for the PS4 decoder, or H.265 instead of H.264. Use the studio PSVR/PS4 encode.
Stick not detected
Wrong filesystem (NTFS) or a missing LITTLSTAR folder in the root. Reformat to exFAT and recreate the folder.

Is streaming or downloading better?

Downloading wins on quality and reliability: the studio PSVR encodes are sized for the console, play offline and never buffer. Streaming wins on convenience: WatchVR and Rad feeds update automatically and cost nothing but bandwidth. Most PSVR setups end up using both.
